Given our publication schedule, we should always ensure there is content for two full academic years (so at some points in the year there is just over two years’ worth of material ie October 2020 would mean that there is content from August 2018 onwards).

How long we keep content for

• Media releases, Blogs, long reads:Ìý2 years
• Facts and figures:Ìý5 years
• Reports, Briefings:Ìý2 years
• News:Ìý6 months (if about an event),Ìý12 months everything elseÌý
• Events:Ìý6 months after eventÌý
• Parliamentary briefings:Ìý2 years
• Corporate information: keep up to date, review annually
• Hosting content for others:Ìý2 years

Policy contentÌý

• Policy leads will be asked to make decisions based on their knowledge of the content and audience.
• Reports and publications older than 2 years, but which still constitute current policy or where there has not been new work to supplant this can also be retained.
• Older reports which contain out-of-date policy positions or where a new version of a report has been produced should be archived.
• We should include something to direct a user to email us if they are looking for an older report. Info box could maintain a list of requested reports.
• Digi team to review with policy colleagues on an annual basis.

Members' informationÌý

An up-to-date members list will be maintained which provides links to all member institutions websites plus a downloadable .CSV file which has further information eg Head of Institution, website, address, switchboard number. This file will be downloaded from Dynamics and uploaded with the same file name every time a member changes.

Accessing previous reports and pagesÌý

Our website is archived monthly by the back to 2001 and we have a log of reports on the p drive back to 2011. Please ask LouisaÌýif there's a report you need.ÌýÌý
